A person demonstrating competency in this unit must satisfy the requirements of the elements, performance criteria, foundation skills and range of conditions of this unit.

The person must also:

install a circulation and filtration system in one swimming pool

service a circulation and filtration system in one swimming pool and one spa

repair a circulation and filtration system in one swimming pool and one spa.

In doing the above, the person must:

interpret work instructions

select and use personal protective equipment (PPE)

install and test the swimming pool or spa circulation and filtration system in line with client and enterprise requirements

troubleshoot routine and complex faults in swimming pool or spa circulation and filtration system

complete installation, repair and service activities.
